Outpatient (ambulatory) referral changes
Several updates to ambulatory referrals have been implemented for Corewell Health West/South and will update during OEE for Corewell Health East. See tip sheet on placing referrals.

Corewell Health medication formulary review: Exparel, Zynrelef, Xaracoll and BED
The Corewell Health Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee has reviewed and updated formulary adjustments for four medications used for postoperative pain control.

Perioperative factor product panel
To streamline ordering and to ensure appropriate dose selection, Corewell Health East and West Hospitals will now have a perioperative factor panel (Profilnine, KCentra, Feiba, and Novoseven) for ordering factor product for the OR spaces.

Are you ready for OEE go-live?

Dragon PowerMics must be replaced before OEE Go-Live
To prevent dictation disruption, replace the existing PowerMic hardware utilized for Dragon Medical One with the new M*Modal Fluency Direct by 3M Olympus microphones.

New imaging platform: Intelerad radiology PACS
Corewell Health East will transition from Philips radiology PACS to Intelerad radiology PACS, the new system-wide imaging system. Images viewed in Epic will pull from Ambra.

Corewell Health South

Good news about lab wait times
Corewell Health South's OEE go live in April unexpectedly impacted the labs, however wait times have improved (on The Well) and are back to normal. Patients may walk in anytime for lab services or it is recommended they schedule an appointment in MyChart. 

South Haven Hospice Wine & Beer Benefit
Saturday, Aug. 3, 6-10 p.m.
Join us for a fun evening of local wines and beer, food and live music at the Michigan Maritime Museum to help raise funds for local hospice and bereavement care services.

The New York Times: Pregnant, Addicted and Fighting the Pull of Drugs
Corewell Health's Great Moms clinic in Grand Rapids exists to provide help and support to pregnant women and new mothers who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. The clinic and some of their patients were recently featured in The New York Times.

Corewell Health Adult Medicine Update: Value, population health and the future of medicine
Sept. 27-29, Grand Rapids
Clinical program speakers will discuss topics of pulmonary, cardiology, bariatrics, population health, ethics and artificial intelligence, as well as a “state of the nation” health care update. The Corewell Health Adult Medicine Update conference starts with a family-friendly welcome party at Grand Rapids Downtown Market on Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday, we encourage family members to explore the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park during our educational content speaker breakouts. The conference will provide 7.5 Category 1 CME credits.
