The service desk is the front door to digital services and must take every precaution to protect any and all account information from malicious or bad actors attempting to gain access through social engineering/vishing (this is especially true for credentialed physicians and senior leaders).
Starting Oct. 16, all team members, including employed and contracted physicians, who call the service desk for assistance with account lockouts, etc. will need to verify their identity by providing their username, last 4 of the social security number, and either their home zip code or month/date of their birthday.
