As the COVID-19 community levels in our counties have increased, according to the CDC’s website on community levels, Beaumont Health is making updates this week to masking in non-clinical care and corporate areas, thresholds for gatherings and interviews.
Effective Thursday, July 21, at 8 a.m.:
- Masking: Beaumont strongly recommends masking in all areas, including non-clinical, non-public areas. As a reminder, masks continue to be required in clinical areas, regardless of vaccination status. Clinical areas include common
areas such as hallways, nursing stations, cafeterias, elevators, and waiting rooms within clinical buildings.
- We must trust one another to do the right thing when it comes to masking and remember our patients and their family members look to us to set the example by wearing our mask properly.
- In-person meetings: Must be adjusted to 50% of the room capacity.
- Interviews: Virtual interviews are encouraged.
In summary, Beaumont will follow the medium-level restrictions outlined in the Thresholds for gatherings visitation HR consideration document.
Additionally, visitation restrictions are unchanged. And all team members who enter a Beaumont facility must continue to complete the COVID-19 daily screening survey every day when reporting to on-site work.
Remember to continue practicing hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer and take additional precautions while in your communities to further reduce the spread of infection.
We will continue to monitor COVID-19 transmission and follow guidelines set by Infection Prevention & Epidemiology. Thank you for your understanding as COVID-19 cases continue to rise and fall within our communities.
