Beginning Monday, Feb. 6, legacy Beaumont will be transitioning to the Corewell Health version of Microsoft 365. The changes will impact applications that you use daily such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive and others. These changes include moving to a @corewellhealth.org email address.
Migrating means we can achieve our goal of getting one environment for enabling collaboration and synergies in almost half the cost, half the time and half the user impact. Legacy Beaumont and legacy Spectrum will now be on the same platform to maximize collaboration.
Migration will happen in waves. Your wave placement is determined by your primary facility listed in Cactus in December. Each migration wave will take place on the following dates:
- Feb. 6 – Wave 1: Beaumont Service Center, Corporate Services
- Feb. 13 – Wave 2: Grosse Pointe, Taylor, Trenton and Wayne
- Feb. 27 – Wave 3: Dearborn and Farmington Hills
- March 6 – Wave 4: Troy
- March 13 – Wave 5: Royal Oak (Leaders, physicians and team members with last name A-L)
- March 20 – Wave 6: Royal Oak (Physicians and team members with last name M-Z)
Here are five things you can do now to ensure an easy transition:
- Attend a live session of Preparing for the Migration. If you cannot attend live, please review the user impacts to learn more about how this change will affect your workflow. You can also watch a recording here.
- Prior to your go-live date, you will receive a calendar invite for the Friday before your scheduled migration to block some afternoon time for you to review the important information and resources. Review this migration action list to know the actions you need to take both the Friday before and day of your migration.
- Download a copy of the migration guidebook to your desktop. This will be your go-to guide for the migration.
- Accept the calendar hold invitation sent for the morning of your migration, 7-10 a.m. This gives you time to complete the migration and get settled into the new Microsoft environment.
- Attend an office hour scheduled during your migration week.
