When planning to be out of the country and if you wish to work remotely – you must submit a service request and ask for an exception for access to apps such as BHApps, Microsoft365, Epic/oneChart, Muse, etc. Call the Service Desk at 888-481-2448 and press 7 to place your service request and obtain a service request #. You may request access in advance, but it cannot be processed until you are able to satisfy the following:
- You have Duo and/or Ping Multi-Factor Authentication app on your personal device you will be using while out of the country.
- Provide the name of the country or countries you will be visiting.
- Duration of your visit.
- Provide the public IP address of the location from which you will be connecting (contact the location you will be visiting to obtain in advance or as soon as you arrive as it will take 1-2 business days for clearance, testing, and verification).
It is important to note that a public IP address can change at any time, and Corewell Health has no way to control this. For this reason,
- Cellular networks are not supported. Mobile devices on Wi-Fi are supported though.
- If the public IP address changes, you will be required to submit a new service request to modify the existing exception and open access to the new IP address.
