All Corewell Health East hospitals are experiencing high volumes of patients with respiratory viral illnesses, especially RSV and influenza.
As a result, effective Monday, Nov. 7 at 8 a.m., children who are 5 years old or younger may not visit patients at Corewell Health East hospital campuses unless there are extraordinary circumstances, such as severe illness of a parent or sibling, or end-of-life situations.
Everyone who is age 5 and older, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth while in our facilities. We ask that everyone coming to our facilities self-screen for COVID-19, cold and flu symptoms before entering. Please continue directing patients and their families to visit beaumont.org for the most current visitation information.
COVID-19 visitation reminder
We continue to welcome two support people at a time to visit patients at our hospitals who do not have or are not suspected of having COVID-19. Support people may alternate during the day, exchanging in the lobby or outside the hospital campus, up to three exchanges per day.
For patients who have or are suspected of having COVID-19, remember exceptions may be made for multiple situations. Review the COVID staff guidelines for details.
