3M discontinues 9205+ model mask
As we continue our journey through the COVID-19 pandemic, we are constantly reviewing our work environment to ensure the health and safety of employees, patients and families.
Due to changes in manufacturing, 3M discontinued its N95 mask, MFG# 9205+. This was widely used across Beaumont. The appropriate substitute is either a 3M 1870+ (duckbill) or a Makrite Small (cone-shaped). Both masks can be ordered through PeopleSoft with the same lead time.
To meet the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration Respiratory Protection standard, employees who have not been fit tested in the last year on the model of N95 they are using must be properly fit tested. Current employees should reach out to their department fit-tester. New hires are fit tested by Employee Health.
