Restocked employee wellness carts available at acute care campuses

Leaders throughout Beaumont Health perform rounding on their units with colorful carts filled with snacks, Bwell and Ulliance resources, wellness items and a suggestion box. Leaders have casual conversations with team members to offer encouragement, support, resources, promote self-care and answer any questions on employees’ minds.

Team members are also encouraged to write down and submit suggestions on how to best support them. Leaders then explore the suggestions to assess needs and provide timely support and resources. You can access well-being resources directly by visiting the Employee Well-being Toolkit located on experienceBeaumont.

ECMO machine helps COVID-19 survivor hospitalized 3 months

When Kristi Kowalski tested positive for COVID-19 in November she never expected her strong body to completely shut down. After her health began to decline, she was intubated and placed on full ECMO support for 68 days. But thanks to a multidisciplinary team of Beaumont physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and others, Kristi survived.

Changes coming to saved Microsoft Teams recorded meetings May 17

The location for new Teams meeting recordings will change starting Monday, May 17. Recordings will be stored on OneDrive instead of Microsoft Stream.

Currently, recorded Teams meetings are saved online to Microsoft Stream, and accessible for viewing only by those invited meeting participants. Those who were not invited to the meeting cannot view the recording unless the recording owner permitted them to do so in Stream.

When scheduling Teams meetings, the organizer can change the settings to limit who can record the meeting. The organizer can do this by clicking Meeting Options, and then change who can present, as those who can present can also record. The person who records the meeting is the recording owner, and those invited to the meeting have access to view.

On Monday, May 17, Microsoft Teams recorded meetings will start being saved to OneDrive instead of Stream. Meeting recordings will be saved in the OneDrive of the person who recorded the meeting. OneDrive is our personal cloud storage location at Beaumont. Meeting invitees will get a shared link to view the recording. Those who were not invited to the meeting still will not be able to view the recording unless the recording owner explicitly granted them permission to do so in OneDrive.

Going forward, uploads to Stream will be limited only to the Beaumont Health Communications department. If you have a video or recording that you would like uploaded to Stream for the organization to view, please contact Beaumont Health Communications.

Watch for more information. If you have questions, please contact the Service Desk at 888-481-2448.
