Beaumont restarts administration of Johnson & Johnson vaccine

Based on a recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration, Beaumont will be resuming the administration of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to inpatients at acute care campuses later this week. The Beaumont Vaccine Medication Review Committee reviewed and endorsed the recommendation and data from the CDC.

Screening criteria is followed to ensure eligibility for vaccine administration and patients can decline the vaccine if they choose. Visit the Janssen website for more information about this vaccine.

Beaumont will soon be launching a program for employees interested in the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as well — more details to come soon.

In the meantime, the Pfizer vaccine is still available at the Beaumont Service Center for employees who have not been vaccinated. Reserve your appointment now at https://secure.beaumont.org/CovidVaccineAppointment.

If transportation is an issue, check out the shuttle schedule to the BSC to coordinate your appointment on a day the shuttle comes to your location.
