Beaumont Accountable Care Organization’s 2018 performance scores for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System improved tremendously over 2017 results. The ACO scored a perfect 100 out of 100 last year, compared to 82.4 out of 100 the year prior.
These scores will result in a 1.68% increase to Medicare fee-for-service claims starting Jan. 1, 2020, as opposed to an increase of 0.94% last year for all Medicare Shared Savings Program participating providers.
“I would like to thank all our staff and providers for the hard work they put in to make this happen,” says Walter Lorang, executive director and chief operating officer, Beaumont ACO. “This is truly a wonderful accomplishment and something we should be proud of.”
