Dr. Beydoun promoted to associate chief medical informatics officer

Please join me in congratulating Suzan Beydoun, M.D., MSHI, on her promotion to associate chief medical informatics officer for Beaumont Health. Reporting to Matthew Zimmie M.D., MSHI, vice president and chief medical informatics officer, Dr. Beydoun will help further the framework of informatics at Beaumont, managing the ambulatory physician informatics team and continuing her critical leadership in the realm of clinical informatics.

Dr. Beydoun is a board-certified, practicing, family medicine physician and graduate of the Beaumont Physician Leadership Academy. Locally trained, she completed her medical degree at Wayne State University and her family medicine residency in 2009 at Beaumont, Wayne.

Dr. Beydoun earned her Epic Physician Build Certification in 2014 and Epic Physician Builder Analytics Certification in 2018. She earned a Master’s of Science in Health Informatics and just recently sat for her Clinical Informatics Board Certification exam.

Dr. Beydoun has led several crucial initiatives for the Beaumont physician informatics team since she joined in 2014. She has been a lead physician in the Ambulatory Physician Experience project over the past year. She was integral in the success of the first pass of phase two of the single instance oneChart project in addition to many other efforts.

Congratulations on this well-deserved advancement.
