We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Fletcher to medical director of Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine at our hospital. He has been the associate medical director at Royal Oak since 2014 and the medical director at Beaumont Hospital, Troy since 2015.
Dr. Fletcher completed his fellowship in Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine at Beaumont, Royal Oak in 2011. He went on the University of Florida where he was first associate medical director and medical director of the blood bank. He was also the associate program director for the Pathology Residency program. Dr. Fletcher is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in clinical pathology with subspecialty board certification in blood bank and transfusion medicine. He is active in teaching medical student, residents and fellows and is an assistant professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
