CARTS physician compensation plan – Update on phases I & II

Beaumont Health has been working on a unified physician compensation plan for the past two years. The transition to a unified CARTS compensation plan began in the spring and Phase I will be complete on Aug. 1. The transition will continue to be phased in by department. Phase II departments - Imaging, Radiation Oncology, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pathology - have begun transitioning and will be complete by Jan. 1, 2019. Physicians in those departments will receive additional communication in the near future.

Timing for subsequent departments will be determined based on a variety of factors, including complexity and department size.

Detailed information about the CARTS compensation plan will be provided as your department begins the transition. In the meantime, please take a few moments to learn more about CARTS in this brief video. You may direct questions to your physician leader, chief medical officer or hospital president.

Thank you for your continued commitment to providing the best care to the people of Southeast Michigan and helping Beaumont lead the way in moving to a value-based care model.
