Congratulations on MTRAC award, Dr. Castillo

More than $1.8 million in funding has just flowed to the teams developing concepts from the Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization for Life Sciences Innovation Hub. A Beaumont Health project submitted by Edward Castillo, Ph.D., a research scientist in Radiation Oncology, “Detecting Pulmonary Embolism from Non-Contrast Computed Tomography,” is one project that has been approved for funding.

MTRAC is managed by Fast Forward Medical Innovation, a unit of the University of Michigan Medical School’s Office of Research, with funding from U-M and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Projects from across the state were selected for funding by MTRAC’s Innovation Hub team, to accelerate their paths to market, bringing them one step closer to ultimately helping patients and their families.
