Beginning June 1, 2018, prescribers will need to run a report with the Michigan Automated Prescription System (MAPS) prior to prescribing or dispensing controlled substances to a patient in a quantity that exceeds a 3-day supply (unless the dispensing and administering occurs in a hospital or freestanding surgical outpatient facility).
