Preparing for new PACS platform launching Sunday, July 21

The Corewell Health East Intelerad PACS go live occurs this Sunday, July 21, at 5:00 a.m. Review the following information to help you prepare for this change.

Preparing for go live

Corewell Health East team members who use the current Philips radiology PACS, such as imaging technologists, radiologists, surgical services, referring providers, specialty readers, etc. should review the following important information in preparation for Sunday’s Intelerad PACS go live.

Referring providers

Starting at 5:00 a.m. on July 21, all new exams should be sent to IntelePACS. Access the InteleConnect Portal from the Desktop (clinical workstations) or from BHApps.

InteleConnect will be pushed to all clinical workstations and will be available from BHApps.

 If InteleConnect is not available from the Desktop on a clinical workstation, use this URL to access it.

  • Review these instructions and place a ServiceNow ticket to have it added to the Desktop.

Important information regarding image retrieval workflows

Epic links for Radiology PACS images acquired after July 21 will pull from Ambra. 

Epic links for historical images will pull from Philips iSite.

If image links do not work while the new system is deployed and MRN conversion continues, search by patient name in InteleConnect.

For any issues with Intelerad PACS, please contact the Corewell Health East Service Desk at 888.481-2448, option 6 for OEE go-live assistance.

Surgical Services and Surgical Residents

  1. Starting at 5:00 a.m. on July 21, all exams should be viewed from InteleConnect or through links in Epic.
    • If you are in the middle of a workflow during the cutover, you will need to log off and log into Epic and/or Intelerad PACS.
  2. InteleConnect should be available on the Desktop of all clinical workstations.
  3. Test your access to InteleConnect (https://pacs.corewellhealth.org/Portal/app#/). 
    • Use your Corewell Health username and password.
    • Can’t access? Call the service desk at 888.481.2448.  

Exporting images to USB

For team members who need to export images, please review the following resources:

  • You will need the InteleViewer app to export imaging from PACS. If you do not have the app on your workstation, call the service desk at 888.481.2448 and provide the asset tag.

  • If your issue requires escalation, please contact your operations director who can share the issue during the daily Imaging huddle.
