Beaumont Health and Cleveland, Ohio-based Medical Service Company have signed an agreement for MSC to acquire Beaumont Home Medical Equipment, effective July 8, 2019.

Beaumont Home Medical Equipment employees were all offered positions in the new organization. Physicians and care management staff have been notified of the change and provided instructions on how to handle referrals going forward. Patients will receive notification of the change via letter this month and will be given the option to continue service through MSC or choose another durable medical equipment supplier.

Please note that the current Beaumont Home Medical Equipment phone numbers used by patients and staff will remain the same under MSC. Also, MSC will maintain the retail locations only on the Beaumont, Royal Oak and Beaumont, Troy campuses following the close.

The future demand for durable medical equipment is expected to significantly outpace Beaumont’s capacity to expand and serve our patients under the current model. With more than 50 years of experience, MSC will be able to provide durable medical equipment for more patients and their families in southeast Michigan.
