As with any software or operating system, a new Hyperdrive update is an important initiative to remain current with Epic releases and position Corewell Health East to take advantage of requested enhancements and prepare for systemwide regulatory reporting and One Epic Ecosystem. 
 

What is Hyperdrive?
Hyperdrive is Epic’s native browser explicitly created for users to access Hyperspace activities and complete workflows while meeting the unique needs of a health care organization. Watch this short video for more information.
 
When users launch Hyperdrive for the first time, they will immediately notice an improved and more attractive user interface. But Hyperdrive is a lot more than just a pretty face. It packs some serious features under the hood:

• A platform for innovation. Using a web-based client gives Corewell Health East development options that we have never had before to push the functionality, visual appeal and performance of the software ahead for our team members.
• Day one user improvements. As we migrate the software to the new platform, we are making key workflow improvements along the way. Users will notice and appreciate many of these requested enhancements.
• Simplified upgrades.

On Sunday, June 11, at 5 a.m., oneChart will be unavailable for up to 30 minutes while the system is updated to the latest version of Epic.

 
What should you do?

• Use established downtime instructions while oneChart is unavailable.
• While using a Corewell Health East computer, please view the June 11 Bundle document on the oneChart Update Bundles site to learn more. Select the Ambulatory Updates button on the right to view the new Ambulatory Update Bundles page. Click the hyperlinks within the documents to open specific educational materials.
