What inspired you to practice medicine?

"My father inspired me to become a doctor. I grew up with the idea that taking care of patients and helping alleviate their  suffering is a noble thing. Surgery has been my passion, and I can't imagine myself in any career besides surgery."

Share something a patient said or did.

"I have huge gratification when my patients do well. Their words of kindness and appreciation is the best reward that I get."

What does resilience look like to you?

"Resilience stems from the fact that we, as physicians, are entrusted to take care of the people in our community. My practice is centered in the Downriver area. The people in this community are very kind and appreciative and deserve the best. That is why we have to be resilient and hard working."
