The Medical Staffs of Beaumont Health are hosting a weekend symposium designed to promote the continuing education and well-being of Beaumont physicians and advance practice providers. In addition to the presentation of interesting medical topics, social activities are planned.

The 24th Annual Symposium is your source for cutting-edge information, best practices and national guidelines that cover a wide variety of medical topics.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Medical Staff members, advance practice providers, fellows, residents, medical students and administrative leaders of Beaumont Health.
FACULTY DISCLOSURE
All speakers and members of the planning committee have been asked to disclose any significant relationships with commercial companies. This will be disclosed at the time of the meeting.
GLOBAL AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
By attending the educational sessions, the participants should be better able to:
Define implicit bias and recall strategies for addressing bias to a variety of patient populations.
Explain how small improvements in performance, service, or product quality over time can yield big rewards in life.
Identify patients who are candidates for surgical weight loss procedures and critically evaluate surgical methods for appropriate weight loss surgery.
Discuss the epidemiology of stroke and it’s causes.
Recognize personal strengths and passions to help promote successful communication with others outside of the medical profession.
EVALUATION FORM
All participants wishing to receive CME credit for these sessions will be required to complete an online CME Evaluation Form.
