Beaumont to begin offering Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to kids ages 5-11 next week

With the recent approval from the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, beginning next week, we are pleased to announce that Beaumont Health will offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to pediatric patients ages 5-11 years on a limited basis, by appointment only. Beaumont will not be accepting walk-ins.

Parents and legal guardians who would like to register their 5- to 11-year-olds for a COVID-19 vaccination will need a myBeaumontChart account for their child and parental access to the account. Instructions on how to make an appointment, create a MyBeaumontChart and obtain parental access will be available at Beaumont.org early next week.

Our appointment only pediatric vaccine clinics will be offered this month on Friday, Nov. 12 and Friday, Nov. 19 in the Moceri Learning Center at Beaumont, Troy and Saturday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Beaumont Service Center in Southfield.

While we are offering a limited number of appointments, we recognize that the most convenient access to the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine may be at the local health department, a neighborhood pharmacy or your child’s pediatrician office, if available.
