We are pleased to welcome Jeremy Troy Powers, M.D. to Beaumont Health. Dr. Powers is joining the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine sometime this fall in the position of Chief of Pathology at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn, to replace Michael Schaldenbrand, M.D. who will retire at the end of December. Dr. Powers comes from the department of Pathology at Charleston Area Medical Center (WV) where he is currently the vice chief of Pathology and Associate Clinical Laboratory Director as well as the Blood Bank Medical Director.

Dr. Powers graduated from West Virginia University, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Medical Technology, followed by his degree in Medicine. He completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at West Virginia University and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine fellowship training at Beaumont Health. Dr. Powers is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty board certification in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
