Epic/oneChart Winter 2020 Update
On Sunday, March 1, to improve patient care delivery, keep current with the latest features and manage a more consistent and predictable change schedule, Beaumont Health will begin implementing quarterly Epic/oneChart updates.
Quarterly updates are an important initiative to remain current with Epic software releases and position Beaumont to take advantage of requested enhancements sooner.
To prepare for a successful go-live, IT will host weekly Operational Readiness sessions in February to review enhancements from each application as well as other key oneChart updates. We will continue these going forward, as we approach future quarterly updates.
Operational Readiness sessions have been scheduled weekly, starting on Wednesday, Feb. 5, with representatives from each site to discuss specific changes, ensure site preparedness and to facilitate focus on training, change management, communication and Superuser support.
There will be a downtime of approximately two hours, from 2-4 a.m., on Sunday, March 1. A support call center will be in place beginning Sunday, March 1 through Monday, March 9.
