COVID Call Center, testing sites to close Oct. 10

As we continue to closely monitor the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recommendations made by the CDC, the COVID Call Center and COVID testing sites for team members will be closed effective Oct. 10.

Team members who present symptoms of COVID-19 or any illness that would keep them home from work (e.g., fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, etc.) are no longer required to call the COVID call center or report for testing. We are returning to pre-pandemic procedures of team members notifying their manager directly.

The CDC recommends that those who test positive for COVID-19 should quarantine for five days. Beaumont team members with asymptomatic or mild COVID-19 illness may return to work on day five (day zero is the first day of symptoms or the day of a positive test) without testing if you are asymptomatic. If a team member continues to be symptomatic and/or test positive and needs to be off work for more than five days or 40 hours, a note from a physician will be required to return to work and team members will need to be cleared by Employee Health and Safety by calling 947-522-3717. Leaders will need to put the team member out on leave in PeopleSoft after day five or 40 hours. It should be treated as any other leave by selecting “Paid Leave of Absence – Pending Approval.” Masks are still mandated to be worn at all times inside Beaumont facilities and team members should continue to use the Beaumont Clear for Work app when reporting to work.

With questions, call the ERC at 947-522-3766.
