Beaumont Health is committed to the health and wellbeing of all our physicians, including our residents and fellows. There are numerous options available for those seeking assistance.

If you are having trouble coping, feeling depressed or anxious, or experiencing personal/professional stress

  • Counseling is available through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost. Consultants are free, confidential, and available 24/7.

  • Therapy with a mental health provider is available through the health insurance plan. Copays and deductibles do apply. Call 844-794-2705 for more information

If you would like to speak with someone about alcohol or drug issues

  • Maplegrove provides evaluations and both inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. Contact Maplegrove at 248-661-6100.
  • The Michigan Health Professionals Recovery Program (HPRP) provides evaluations and case management. This program is designed to encourage health professionals to seek treatment before their impairment harms a patient or damages their careers through disciplinary or regulatory action. Calls are answered Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 800-453-3784.
