UpToDate Anywhere Available at Beaumont

Beaumont Health has a subscription to UpToDate Anywhere so that physicians and other clinicians can access the database from any Beaumont campus and through remote access. 

UpToDate Anywhere is an evidence-based clinical decision support resource with more than 10,000 clinical topics that is used by many clinicians here at Beaumont Health. 

To gain access to UpToDate you can go to the Beaumont Health Intranet page at intranet.beaumont.org and go to the Resources tab and then click on Physician Resources.  The UpToDate link is available under the References section.   Another option on the Beaumont intranet to access UpToDate is through the Medical Library website located under the Education Tab.

Beaumont staff also can register for an account which gives you access to the UpToDate mobile app and accumulates CME/CE credits every time you access a topic on UpToDate.  Just register at uptodate.com from a Beaumont Health network computer and complete the one-time registration. (Click login/Register button at the top right side of the search page.) You'll then be able to access UpToDate information from anywhere and download the mobile app.

You also can register for an UpToDate account through Epic by clicking on the UpToDate link on the toolbar and completing the registration form there.

To maintain uninterrupted access to UpToDate Beaumont staff will need to confirm that you are still affiliated with Beaumont Health every 90 days.  To do this, simply log in to UpToDate from within the Beaumont Health network or Epic.

1. Go to  http://store.beaumont.edu.

2. Login with your credentials. Launching the Secure Application Manager may take a few minutes. You may need to acknowledge a software installation.

3. The store screen appears. Click on the Physician Resource link. If you do not have this link on your screen, please contact the Help Desk at 888-481-2448 and ask for a work order to be sent to the Citrix Team to help you with your access.

4. Once successful, you should get to Inside Beaumont. 

5. Find and click on the UpToDate link on the Physician Resource page.
